Feel good picks from the Rex London Sale
Guest blog by Georgia Coote
I love a bargain and there are just so many good ones in this year’s Rex London Summer Sale! Rex London is always my go to for colourful gifts, home decor and kids items, so the sale is a great time to stock up for all sorts of occasions throughout the year. All these items combined came to less than £30.
Unexpected red theory
What could a better welcome home than this cheery red doormat? As functional as it is stylish, I love the natural look base with the punchy pops of red. It’s a great way to give your doorway a fresh new look
Tall Glass Candle Holder - Red, was £9.95 now £4.95
Cake cases
These pretty cake cases make even the most humble baked goods look all the cuter. I love baking with kids, as long as you don’t mind mess it’s such fun! My favourite bakes are the simple nostalgic recipes, a classic butterfly cake with fresh strawberries and plenty of buttercream, or a simple plain sponge with lemon flavoured icing and topped with a shiny glacé cherry. Yum!
Cupcake cases (pack of 50) - Wild Wonders, was £1.95 now 97p
Jumbo Storage Bags
My family and I are currently moving house and these jumbo storage bags have been SO useful! The colours are so bright and happy, I have a few in different designs for different things. For example, this lovely green spot is for winter clothes, I have a ladybird one with keepsake toys, a pink spot for table linen and all sorts. They fit so much in - and are a great hiding spot for a cat!
Jumbo storage bag - Spotlight green on blue, was £5.95 now £3.95
Sleepover masks
I have tween girls and so we have sleepovers aplenty in our house! These lovely eye masks are a great gift for that ever so slightly tricky age to buy for. They’re also fantastic for this time of year when sometimes it's still a little too light around bedtimes!
Eye mask and pouch - Folk Doves, was £9.95 now £2.95
Twine and tissue
Adding some twine to a posy of flowers, or a perfectly wrapped present is such a simple way to make everyday gifts all the more special. I love tucking a couple of garden blooms under twine for a sweet present topper. Tissue is always so lovely to wrap with as it's so much more forgiving with shapes! It’s also great for kids to unwrap as it’s easier to tear up in delight!
Tissue paper (10 sheets) - Spotlight red on pink, was £2.95 now 72p
Amelie basket
I think the Amelie basket might just be my favourite ever Rex London product! A nostalgic Barbie esque basket that has endless uses! Here, I used it to gather flowers from the garden but it’s also fantastic for housing bathroom bits and pieces, to hold gifts as an extra special present bag and general household items.
Amelie basket - Blue, was £6.95 now £2.75
String bag
A string bag is a staple item in my handbag. These squash down into the tiniest ball in my bag meaning I never need opt for the plastic variety when out and about shopping. Because of their structure they expand well, accommodating all sorts of groceries. They look so retro and lovely as well!
Organic cotton net shopping bag - Red, was £5.95 now £1.95
Slot together playset
This slot together playset is not only beautifully designed and tactile, the shapes slot together easily so little hands can make up the animals and create different types of imaginative scenes. Once made up the animals look great on the shelf, and (let's be honest) strewn across the floor in the bedroom!
Slot together playset - Wild Wonders, was £9.95 now £4.95
Rainbow pin badge
Another perfect little gift which you can slot into a greetings card or simply surprise someone with 'just because'. I love having a little stash of presents for this very reason. I might keep this as a handy little stocking filler for Christmas, or get a few for an extra special party favour.
Pin badge - Cloud burst, was £2.95 now £1.45
