I too did not read the dimensions, it is a tiny mug- definitely for a child. Shame as I bought it for work... My daughter is pleased anyway!

Lovely trendy design though I thought they were a little small, more for a child.Just wish they were the same size as the mugs I reviewed.. I really should look before i order.
Mug is a bit smaller than an 'average' size mug, very pretty, made a lovely present.
