Does your dad love a moustache? Whether he's a first-timer or a moustache aficianado, here are eight of the manliest styles of facial hair for him to try!
Pencil

Thin, neat and oh so debonair, the pencil moustache brings back memories of glamour from Hollywood's Golden Age. Iconic actors and musicians from Errol Flynn to Sammy Davis Jr have worn this style, so if your dad is a lover of vintage then this could be the hair for him!
English

Gentlemen, gather round. This is the English moustache and it is the pinnacle of sophistication. To get this look, dad should shave his moustache thin and pull the ends out very straight, then curl them up a little at the ends for the perfect 'tache. Of course, it doesn't have to be quite this long, but a bowler hat really will finish it off.
Chevron

Not sure what the chevron is? Think Freddie Mercury and Tom Selleck, and you'll get the idea. It's a chunky style that's easy to maintain making it perfect for beginners, so if this is your dad's first try at a soup strainer recommend this one to him. He can even make it slightly thinner for a more modern, James Franco-esque look.
Horseshoe

Think of the horseshoe as a more rugged chevron, so called because it resembles an upside-down horseshoe. You'll have seen it gracing the lips of wrestlers, rockers and cowboys, making it one of the manliest styles out there. The aim of this particular 'tache is to grow the sides (known as 'pipes') all the way down to your chin. Give it a go!
Handlebar

He's seen it in the Westerns, now he can try it on his face! The handlebar is an ancient classic dating all the way back to the Iron Age. Well, if it ain't broke...! To achieve this look simply curl up the ends with wax and your dad will be following in the footsteps of such historic figures as Wyatt Earp and Buffalo Bill.
Dali

Wacky dads will love the Dali! Named after the surrealist himself, this style is upwardly mobile to say the least. You'll need plenty of wax to pull off this look, so just grow it long and pull it skywards. This is a facial style for men who love to be the centre of attention whilst still looking dapper.
Freestyle

For the man who won't be a slave to any shape, there's the freestyle. Your dad's face is his playground so he can let his imagination run wild. And, if he comes up with something really original, he can always enter the World Beard and Moustache Championships and take his 'tache to the rest of the world!
