Here at DotComGiftShop we like to help make homes beautiful, so what better way to indulge our love of great interior design than with another collection of divine design blogs?

Whether you’re searching for ideas for your own decorating, or you just love seeing what’s behind other people’s front doors, you’ll be sure to find something to keep you entertained on this great list!

2Modern

2Modern brings together the best of modern design from all around the internet, to keep you abreast of what is happening on “the cutting edge of the design world”. As well as architecture and interior design, there are also sections about fashion, art and decor.

There’s great variety in the houses the 2Modern team find - we’re torn between swimming in the infinity pool of the SAOTA house, or curling up with a book in the tiny house on Sauvie Island. Don’t miss this blog!

Abigail Ahern

Abigail Ahern is a world-renowned interior designer, known for combining vintage and modern styles in designs that are both striking and tinged with humour. On her blog she shares her favourite products and design trends, as well as tips for creating your own stunning spaces without breaking the bank.

We love the red spray-painted desk - a bargain from a flea market, transformed into a real setpiece. To quote Abigail: “told you style has nothing to do with money”.

Butterfly Lane

More than just an interior design blog, Butterfly Lane collects together all sorts of beautiful things to give you ideas for your home. You’ll find plenty of stunning pictures here to get your creative juices flowing.

Particularly brilliant is the ‘mood boards’ section, especially if you’re looking for subtle, muted colours that still pack a real aesthetic punch. A must read if you’re thinking of doing some redesigning of your own.

Decorology

Sometimes it’s the little things that can really set off a room. At Decorology there are posts galore, featuring items to give your home a dash of style, from vintage glamour to sleek modernity.

Ashley shares her favourite online finds and the newest decorative additions to her home - we agree that the golden porthole mirror looks fantastic in her apartment! And if you like peeking inside other people’s homes, her ‘house tours’ will be sure to keep you entertained for a long time.

Dot Dot Dash

From lovely trinkets to breathtaking rooms, Dot Dot Dash is a beautiful, dreamy blog that mixes great design with lifestyle posts. Kat loves smooth lines and simple design, and often draws inspiration from the city of London, where she lives.

Her recent Jubilee-themed post combines sweet treats, bunting and dresses for a stylish summer celebration, perfect for any warm weekend. A fantastic blog for both big and small design ideas.

Moon to Moon

If you love “chilled out, lazy, eclectic, indie and bohemian interiors”, you’ll feel right at home on the Moon to Moon blog. Their photograph collections of beautiful houses are pure interior indulgence: we found the ‘ceiling to floor books’ post simply enchanting.

But be careful: you could easily spend hours here, rifling through the extensive back catalogue and wishing every home was your own.

Jessica Buckley Interiors

Jessica Buckley is an interior designer who creates fresh, beautiful rooms, and her blog is a record of the things that inspire her. She themes her posts according to a colour or decorative feature, so this is a wonderful place to discover new ideas.

From gorgeously shabby beach houses to sumptuously regal interiors, you’ll be sure to find something that will get you thinking on this brilliant blog.

Kia Designs

Who doesn’t love looking inside other people’s homes? Kia takes you inside some of the most breathtaking modern homes out there, and her analyses of the architects’ and designers’ creations make for interesting reading.

There are also posts about individual statement items and bold colours, so you can see how Kia’s own designs are carefully put together. Now, anyone for a trip to Switzerland? If we get to stay in that spectacular Swiss chalet, you can count us in!

My Friend’s House

This blog follows two South London friends, decorating their houses and writing about their design adventures.

As well as tempting peeks into their homes, there are so many fascinating posts about stars’ homes, quirky furniture and off-beat trends that you might find it difficult to step reading. If you’re not a fan of carpeted bathrooms, you probably won’t like Jayne Mansfield’s stunningly pink bathroom. But we bet you’d like to take a look anyway.

Obsessilicious

Obsessilicious is a huge fan of Eames, and he has a sense of style to die for. The Friday Feast segments feature such elegantly simple rooms you’ll probably want to start redecorating as soon as possible.

The pieces he chooses for his own home sit together wonderfully (and we are very envious of the gorgeous Robin Day sofa). This really is the perfect place for slick, masculine, retro design. Check it out, you won’t regret it!

Pippa Jameson Interiors

One of the UK’s leading interior bloggers, Pippa Jameson is an interior stylist who wants to share her expertise with everybody, from like-minded design addicts to casual DIYers.

The ‘Interior Trends’ section shows you what’s hot at the moment, and there are also great posts about design events. If you’re looking for a vibrant colour combination, take a look at her raspberry and chartreuse colour swatch. You might just be tempted to get out the paintbrushes...

Stylist’s Own

“People can’t believe it’s rented”. That’s the magazine headline which featured Joanna’s stylish London flat in January. It’s a real testament to this designer’s skill that she made such a striking home with all the limitations of renting a furnished apartment. But, looking at the rest of her blog, it’s clear that she has a real eye for detail.

Drawing ideas from all over the world, Joanna writes about the little things that inspire her to create big designs.

TheBeatThatMyHeartSkipped

Rohini started her blog as a place “to shelve her daily inspirations” and it really is packed full of beautiful things. Art, furniture and even food - she can find inspiration in anything.

As well as sharing her best furniture finds, she also discovers adorable trinkets and accessories that would enhance any room. And if you don’t want to splash out at the shops, why not try her ‘Things to Make and Do’ section? Even a humble tin can can be transformed into a pretty candle holder!

What Wilson Wants

Stuart uses his blog to share the things that compel him to get designing. He works as a professional interior architect and furniture designer, so you can be sure to find lots of beautiful rooms and intriguing objects here.

The blog is his “design notebook”, and his posts often centre around a theme, such as luxurious green houses, or beautiful beach houses (who doesn’t want a panoramic view of the sea from their living room?). Warning: high risk of envy!
