MUCH smaller than expected.
Was happy with the item bought at a discounted price but the quality was not as high as I would have liked. I used it as a novel way of packaging something else so the quality of the item was not the focus of the gift. It is still a novel item and could be used for lots of things.
This is a fabulous little gift for a boy to hide precious items from his siblings , looks like a book when placed on a shelf , so a great hiding place . I ve not seen these anywhere else , so grab them at this price as ideal for birthday gifts with a vintage feel :)
Lovely looking item, but quality is not the best, more for an adult gift than a child.
